Music Monday

Standard

It’s that time of week! Get. Excited.

It’s not a new song by any means, but it never gets old to me. May we never cease to show our love; to sing and dance before our King for all that He’s done; for His faithfulness, for His grace and goodness, and for His divine romance.

True Love

Standard

I love music. A lot.

I love music that truly says something; inspires and wells up within me a hope, a vision, and passion for something bigger than myself.

Phil Wickham’s songs do it. Bandon Heath’s music does it. Bebo Norman. Shane & Shane. The list is endless.

Here’s just a taste of what I mean.

And in case you can’t hear every word… read it.

Come close listen to the story
About a love more faithful than the morning
The Father gave His only Son just to save us

The earth was shaking in the dark
All creation felt the Fathers Broken Heart
Tears were filling Heaven’s Eyes
The day that True Love died, the day that True Love died
When blood and water hit the ground
Walls we couldn’t move came crashing down
We were free and made alive
The day that True Love died, The day that True Love died

Search your heart you know you can’t deny it
Come on, lose your life just so you can find it
The Father gave His only Son just to save us

The Earth was shaking in the dark
All creation felt The Fathers broken heart
Tears were filling Heaven’s Eyes
The day that True Love died, the day that True Love died
When blood and water hit the ground
Walls we couldn’t move came crashing down
We were free and made alive
The day that True Love died, The day that True Love died

Now, Jesus is alive

Jesus is alive
Jesus is alive
Jesus is alive
Jesus is alive
Oh, He is alive
He rose again

When blood and water hit the ground
Walls we couldn’t move came crashing down
We were free and made alive
The day that True Love died, The day that True Love died

Come close listen to the story

Brandon Heath

Standard

As of late, my newest favorite artist is Brandon Heath.  His lyrics hit home to me in a big way and I can’t seem to get enough of his songs. Riddled with metaphors, biblical imagery, and personal battles too few admit to, I feel like someone put music to heart.

If you like this, check our Bebo Norman, Phil Wickham, Jason Morant, and Shane & Shane.
